About me

Anthony Mers is an AP World History, Western Civilization and AVID teacher at Waukegan High School. He lives with his beautiful wife and scheming cat Juno in Lakemoor, Illinois.

Mr. Mers grew up in Wauconda, Il. He attended Transfiguration Catholic School and graduated from Prairie Ridge H.S. in Crystal Lake. After, Mr. Mers chose to attend Illinois State University for its prestigious education program where he also defended the goal for ISU roller hockey.

Since 2006 Mr. Mers has been teaching at Waukegan H.S. starting as a bilingual history teacher and then moving to his current position in House 7.
